I had a very disappointing experience here and won’t be returning. My friend and I ordered two margaritas (one with an extra shot) and two shots of tequila reposado—one chilled and one room temperature. When the shots arrived, both were chilled and tasted extremely watered down—so much so that we couldn’t even taste the alcohol. Even the margaritas—with the extra shot—tasted weak.nnWe brought this to their attention, and eventually spoke with the manager. Unfortunately, he was incredibly rude. Instead of listening, he accused us of lying about how we placed the order and dismissively said, “That’s how this works in a bar. It will be watery.” He was unhelpful, unpleasant, and showed no willingness to resolve the issue respectfully.nnHe claimed that they do not remake drinks after they’ve been served. After some back and forth, he finally said he’d remake the drinks—but it felt forced, like he just wanted to end the conversation. At that point, we didn’t feel comfortable accepting a replacement, fearing the drinks might be tampered with.nnOverall, the service was poor and the staff seemed uninterested in guest satisfaction. If you choose to dine here and something goes wrong, don’t expect to be treated with respect or professionalism. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively.
Visiting my hometown of Detroit for the summer of 2025 met up at this restaurant with some high school friends. There’s a meter parking, which for us was easy to find right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is cute. The service is fast. The drinks were good. The only thing I would change is the food portions to add a little more.

Got a tasty street taco combo and the beans came in a cute Tostada bowl. I tried 3 different meats for my tacos all were flavorful. My group also got Birria tacos and wet burrito which were also goodnWait staff was really nice and attentive
I got lunch here. It was a large party and maybe to much for one server. But overall the food was great.
It was a pretty good Mexican restaurant in Ferndale! Went back in May with some friends, and we had a good dinner!
Good vegan options & our server Luis was amazing! They did their best to work with our dietary needs :) Veg Al Pastor, highly recommend, and the veggie burrito is tasty and generous <3

I made a reservation for large group dinner here with friends and I really enjoyed my experience! The food was amazing from the tacos to rice & beans to dessert. The service was great here too. The food wait was a little long which is expected with a large group, but the food was worth the wait.
When we first arrived the host appear to be friendlynnThe nachos look like somebody just sprayed sauce on them there was very little meat when I say very little meat very little meat I believe in quality class and most definitely a servantnnNever apply for a position that you're not ready for or a position that you're not in mentallynnThere's no fountain drinks so you have to order a glass pop every time you get thirstynnPretty much $6 a pop however no matter what you charge for anything I paid the price for what I like I am a big time booty and I will let a person know about your restaurant on how you treat on how you serve and definitely how I felt in my experience ❤️
Everything we ordered was delicious! The vegan tacos were incredible, highly recommend the al pastor tacos. The trio with guac, salsa and queso was so good - I cannot wait to come back and get more of that salsa! My friends really enjoyed their birria tacos and tortilla soup. The side of rice I got was a little salty, but it probably works super well in their burrito bowls. The churros were SO GOOD, we've been dreaming about them ever since. Cannot wait to come back!!

This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I'm always impressed by the authentic flavors and the incredibly friendly service from the entire staff. For traditional Mexican food lovers, I highly recommend their birria tacos. But if you're feeling adventurous, definitely try the unique Keto taco with the habanero shell. When it comes to drinks, you can't go wrong with their delicious margaritas or cantaritos. What truly sets them apart, though, is their fantastic and extensive tequila and mezcal selection.
Great spot close to home in downtown Ferndale. Taco salad is a go to lunch. Tons of authentic Mexican favorites with a huge selection of Tequilas.
This place is great to go to get good Mexican food and great drinks. I love that the Mocktails are made with fresh juice

Delicious food and drinks. Stylish interior. It was a very satisfying restaurant. I was intrigued by the staff's shirts and ended up buying one. It will be a good memory.

Shame on us for not coming here three years ago when it opened. Whether you have an itch for chips and salsa, tacos, a great margarita, friendly sevice, or Mexican food in general and you're anywhere near Ferndale MI, visit Mezcal.nnStarting with the Chips Trio, the guacamole gets a huge shout out. What makes it special is what my wife's been putting in her guacamole and winning my heart ever since--red onions.nnWe then ordered a Mezcal Taco (flour taco w/ steak), a Shrimp Taco (flour taco w/ shrimp), and a Crispy Taco (corn taco w/ chicken). All three were great.nnRegardless the restaurant's name, you can order a margarita without mezcal tequila--which is GREAT to know if you don't like the taste of mezcal. Not only were their margaritas classic, they were HUGE!nnMy only criticism today would be they need higher-quality napkins. Really. They're just too darn thin to wipe your fingers without tearing the napkin and having it stick to your fingers.nnWe'll become regulars. Great time. Great food. Great atmosphere. All the makings of a great date night.
Great food, so flavorful & fresh we tried the Southwestern quesadillas, buffalo chicken fries, and street tacos. Our server Alejo was so friendly and attentive, all his recommendations were amazing!!! 10/10 recommend. Happy hour includes $12 mega margaritas multiple flavors, thank me later!
Enjoyed my 1st experience here. The Birria tacos were flavorful, could have been a little crispier in my opinion. The margaritas were great and excellent service. I will be back! :)
